20th Century Fox Home Entertainment took home the Green Entertainment Award for the most environmentally friendly DVD of the year -- Futurama: Bender's Big Score. The award was given by The Digital Entertainment Group at the inaugural Green Media Summit in Los Angeles.

In order to better manage its CO2 emissions, FFE expanded its use of chillers, added variable speed drivers on air handling units, administered a lot-wide lighting retrofit, and put in place automatic computer power-downs in all its North American offices. The result was a 20% decrease in energy use per unit, coupled with a 41% decrease in CO2 emissions. In total, the carbon management measures saved 4 million pounds of CO2.

The Berlin office of Fox Mobile, which hosts 750 employees - the majority of all Fox Mobile staff - switches to renewables. By making this switch, Fox Mobile now avoids a total of 441.6 tons of CO2 emissions per year.
